fic two-column

The Family Investment Coalition (FIC) is a statewide coalition of organizations dedicated to helping all Utah families become permanently self-sufficient. We work to ensure that federal and state revenues are adequate to support the needs of the community and are collected fairly.

The basic principles of the coalition are:

Economic Growth: Budget decisions at both the state and federal levels should recognize that public investments are at least as effective as tax cuts in promoting job and wage growth.

Community Strength: Federal and state budget decisions should recognize that communities are strengthened by improving the conditions and opportunities of those who are economically vulnerable.

Membership in the Coalition is free. We encourage all community groups and individuals to join us in our efforts by becoming a member of the coalition. As a member of the coalition, your agency will be listed on letters to legislators and our congressional delegation (you will be given the option to opt out of all letters) and you will be invited to meetings of the coalition.

Meetings:
The Family Investment Coalition's Advocate's Caucus is held on the third Wednesday of every month during the Legislative Interim Session from 12:30 - 1:30 in the Senate Building Cafeteria of the Capitol. The FIC Caucus also meets every Wednesday during the General Session from 12:30 - 1:30 in the Senate Building's Olmstead Room. At each meeting we will discuss policy and budget issues of interest to advocate's and the citizens we serve.
